Apple's MagSafe Battery Pack Is Here, Available For $99

Apple just introduced a new gadget named MagSafe. It looks just like an external battery with an Apple logo embraced in it.

Apple MagSafe battery pack is what iPhone users literally needed as iPhone’s battery size is generally lower than Android smartphones. Ironically, Apple never mentions the battery size of their smartphones. No wonder why! It may be some kind of top-secret. But, unfortunately, it’s only available for iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

For users with old iPhones are requested to update their device and after some time they need to upgrade their device to the iPhone 12 series to use this gadget.

MagSafe has a longer history in Apple devices, it was first launched with the iPhone 12 range late last year. The iPhones that support it contain magnets near the wireless charging coils on the back. These magnets keep chargers and battery packs that use the technology aligned for optimal charging speeds. MagSafe can also be used to store other items like a magnet wallet or car mount.

The MagSafe Battery Pack is able to charge your phone at 5W when it’s not plugged in or at 15W when it is plugged in. Since it’s wireless it doesn’t come up with a wire connector or something. The magnet pack has a lightning connector but it doesn’t come up with a lightning cable or connector cable or a power adapter; you’ll have to either use whatever Lightning cable and adapter.

So this means you will have to use you’ll have to either use whatever lightning cable and adapter you use with your iPhone already or buy a new one. Just Apple things! Most probably you have to spend some bucks to buy that cable or adapter. The pack is also supported directly by iOS in that you can view its charging status on your home screen and in a few other places.

Well, one amazing thing about the MagSafe Battery pack is, it not only charges your phone but also your AirPods as well. Steven Russell (the owner of MagSafe) on Twitter says it seems to be charging his AirPods Pro wireless charging case.

It will cost you around $99 which is generally way more expensive than other battery packs out there!
