Now, Just Hide & Seek With Strangers!

WhatsApp has introduced new privacy settings

WhatsApp is giving users more control over who can access their data. New privacy settings are being rolled out to protect users against unwanted third-party apps.

If you’ve discovered that you can’t view the online status of businesses or contacts you’re attempting to connect with, these updates may assist to explain why.

You will not be able to view an account’s online status or data like when they were last seen if you’ve never interacted with them. The availability of other individuals – and applications – to view information about you is the same.

WhatsApp says, “To improve the privacy and security of our users, we’re making it difficult for individuals you don’t know and haven’t interacted with to view your last seen and online presence on WhatsApp.”

To alleviate concerns about the update consequences, WhatsApp adds, “This will not affect anything between you and your friends, family, and companies that you know or have previously messaged.”

The popular communication app is routinely pushing out upgrades that are more user-focused, with a priority on both visual and privacy adjustments. The company got major outrage over privacy, but now they’ve opted to deliver customer-focused services.

Maintain Your Privacy

Although it might look like a small change, but it can be very useful at certain time for those who use WhatsApp for multiple purposes like communicating with business clients and don’t want them to dive in to your personal life.
