Apple's Latest Update Makes It Difficult To Lose Your AirPods!

Nobody loves wires these days, that’s why AirPods or Bluetooth earphones are getting popular, but these tiny buds aren’t convenient to hold on for a long period of time as they can easily fall.

It’s difficult to count the amount of times our own arms ripped earphones from our ears while we were jogging or grabbing for something! Now, Apple makes it more difficult to misplace your AirPods.

Slash Gear reported that the latest firmware for the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, locating the buds has become a little easier with others’ help. Other devices enrolled into Apple’s wider Find My Network will notify the owner if they ever come near those accessories. Of course, you’ll have to remember to turn on Lost Mode first for that to happen.

The update also refreshes the Find My app’s interface when searching for nearby AirPods. The UI now looks similar to the AirTags’ Find Nearby screen, but without the directions, since the AirPods don’t have The U1 Ultra-Wideband chip. It’ll just clue you in on how near or far you are from the buds.

The update also refreshes the UI of the Find My app while looking for nearby AirPods. Because the AirPods lack The U1 Ultra-Wideband chip, the UI now resembles the AirTags’ Find Nearby screen, but without the directions. It’ll simply tell you how close or distant you are to the buds.

To access this important feature, you’ll need to upgrade the firmware on your AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. However, this can happen virtually at random, with no way to actively activate the update.

Apple devices running iOS 15, such as the iPhone 13 and iPad Pro, may utilize the Find My app to track down a misplaced set of headphones.
