Nokia has announced its latest yet, the cheapest 5G smartphone. If you love stock android, this one’s for you!
Nokia has a history of launching value for money smartphones in the mid-range segment, but this phone is way beyond! If you want a 5G phone but don’t want to pay a lot of money, Nokia offers something for you.
The phone manufacturer has unveiled the G300, a $200 phone that can meet the basic demands of most consumers while also offering 5G connection.
Nokia G300, basically a $200 phone, as you might assume, will not include cutting-edge technology, but it will do if you’re a basic phone user. This eight-core SoC is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G and has 2x A76 cores clocked at 2GHz and 6x A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The SoC is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded to 1TB via SD card.
The Nokia G300 runs Android 11 and has a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 720×1,600 (20:9 aspect ratio) and a 4,470mAh battery that can last for two days thanks to AI-assisted adaptive battery technology. Charging is done via a USB-C connection that can handle up to 18W. What else to expect in $200?
Despite its low pricing, the phone has a triple back camera setup and an 8MP front camera. The main shooter on the back is a 16MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture, which is supplemented by a 5MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. For improved results, this combination may capture 1080p movies at 60 frames per second while employing picture stabilization, OZO spatial audio, and wind noise cancellation.
A fingerprint scanner is included into the power button, which you may use to unlock your phone. The G300 also has NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, OZO audio surround, and a 3.5mm audio port.
Nokia’s smartphones provide a great software experience considering they come with stock Android out of the box, with no advertisements or absurd themes. Additionally, you will receive security upgrades for up to three years, something no other smartphone company provides nowadays.
Nokia’s build quality is well-known for being of high quality. Despite their plastic construction, Nokia HMD Global devices have a luxury feel to them, since the material used isn’t of the low grade that other manufacturers utilize in the production of their devices.
The Nokia G300 will be available for $200 on October 19th through Tracfone and Straight Talk in the United States.
