The Oppo Find X4 series is set to launch in early 2022, and a recent rumor says that the upcoming device may have some of the fastest charging speeds we’ve seen on any smartphone.
According to a Digital Chat Station, the Find X4 series may be able to charge at 125W. We’ve seen phones with 120W charging, such as the Xiaomi 11T Pro and the Vivo iQOO 8 Pro, but this might be the first commercially available phone with that 125W rating.
Previously, Oppo’s Find X3 Pro “only” supports up to 65W cable charging, but its successor appears to provide a significant increase. Oppo will deliver 125W speeds with this Find X4 series.
Oppo first announced this technology in July 2021, with an example of a smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery that could be charged from empty to full in only 20 minutes. However, in this specific model, the company hasn’t revealed much more about the variants.
The amount of time it takes to charge the Find X4 will be determined by various factors, but the stats above are from Oppo’s own 125W tech, so we should expect similar results if it makes its way to the company’s flagship products.
Recently, Xiaomi also launched its Hypercharge technology that was much loved by the consumers. Xiaomi’s 200W Hypercharge fast charging lets users charge their smartphones in just 8 Minutes! That’s freaking dope!
We definitely would love to see a competition between Xiaomi and Oppo in terms of charging capabilities, as both smartphone companies claim to have ultra-fast charging speeds.
Since, Oppo Find X is the flagship series, we might see Oppo with the latest hardware including Qualcomm flagship chipset – Snapdragon 898 which is expected to be unveiled on November 20.
Because of the worldwide chip shortage, there will be no price reductions for upcoming flagships such as the Oppo Find X4, although the company may delay its launch date, or you may suffer delays in your pre-orders.
