GTA Trilogy Is Being Remastered For PC, Consoles & Nintendo Switch

Rockstar Games is getting back to school by providing remastered versions of the Grand Theft Auto series.

In celebration of Grand Theft Auto III’s 20th anniversary, Rockstar Games has launched Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be included in the three-game bundle.

The popular games to remind you of that nostalgic feel, are now getting remastered. The rumors arrived a few months ago, but now Rockstar Games confirmed this by posting a video teaser, and GTA fans are on the go!

They’ll be packaged together as Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. The collection will be available on PC (through the Rockstar Games Launcher), PlayStation, Xbox, and, more surprisingly, the Nintendo Switch. It will be available for both iOS and Android in the first half of 2022.

The company hasn’t said what type of technical advancements were achieved, nor has it released any film. However, each of the games has received “across-the-board updates, including graphics improvements and current gameplay refinements.” And the great thing is, it’s also available for Nintendo Switch users.

Rockstar says that we’ll learn more about the game collection in the following weeks. However, in preparation for the launch, it will begin withdrawing existing copies of each book from digital marketplaces next week, so pick those up if you want them before they are no longer available.

The arrival of this news has fascinated the whole gaming community. It brings up memories of Tommy being betrayed by Lance in Vice City. At the end of San Andreas, CJ and Big Smoke had a massive brawl. The game has generated a lot of memories in our minds, and the gaming community wants to relive those experiences.

The studio took a genuine approach for its remasters, retaining the iconic look and feel of the originals as they were presented on PS2. It will be available for both iOS and Android in the first half of 2022 and the pricing and a release date have yet to be announced.
