Sony has officially announced its own unique PS5 covers. The console covers will be available in black, red, pink, blue, and purple and will fit both the standard PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition.
Sony will release the black and red PS5 console covers in most regions where the PS5 is available in January, with the remaining colors following in the first half of 2022. These redesigned covers are meant to coordinate with the new pink, blue, and purple DualSense controller choices.
Whereas, the additional hues will be released in January, with the purple version accessible through Sony’s PlayStation direct early access program in the UK, US, and Germany. The purple DualSense controller will be available at other stores on February 11th.
Sony also plans to release the PS5 black cover on January 21st through its PlayStation direct online shop, with additional retailers following suit on February 18th. The PS5 covers will cost $54.99, while the additional controller alternatives will cost $74.99.
Sony’s announcement of new console covers comes only weeks after the firm received a patent for its PS5 face plates. Sony is involved in a legal battle with a number of third-party firms who offered black face plates. The company took legal action against DBand, forcing the business to drop their face plates and replace them with a new design and a marketing campaign that mocked Sony’s legal staff. D brand is one of the most well-known brands that sells tech gadget accessories and skins all over the world.
Sony’s new PlayStation 5 console covers are $54.99 each and are presently available for pre-order in Midnight Black and Cosmic Red. PS5 users should be aware that the covers for the basic PS5 and the Digital Edition PS5 are distinct goods and should buy appropriately.
