The ringer switch is doing far more than what it should suppose to be. Now users are having permanent silent mode on IG.
Following the introduction of Apple’s iOS 15 update, some Instagram users have noticed unusual behavior – when the ringer switch on an iPhone is switched to quiet mode, stories play without audio. A fresh version published on Friday looks to have resolved the issue.
For some customers, the problem first appeared during the public beta of Apple’s software upgrade. It is unclear whether this issue affected users running previous versions of iOS, and Facebook just wouldn’t confirm whether the issue was particular to iOS 15. However, the company did provide the following statement, promising a fix.
We’re aware that some people are having trouble hearing their audio in Instagram Stories. We’re working to fix this issue as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.
The issue might be good to some users who swipe Instagram stories while listening to their favorite music on the background. Are you one of us?
Anyway! The update is now available for download, and the problem has been resolved, After pressing the volume button, your audio will play on Instagram Stories with the ringer turned off.
Instagram is very quick to resolve bugs and deliver updates for a better user experience. The social network is also working on a feature that will allow you to post stories via desktop on Instagram, which may be incredibly useful for content creators.
“We know that many people access Instagram from their computer,” an Instagram spokesperson said. “To improve that experience, we’re now testing the ability to create a Feed post on Instagram with their desktop browser.”
