Telegram's New Update, Payment 2.0, Web Versions, And More!

Telegram’s new update (both Android and iOS) brings some new features that will be quite useful for you! This new update includes payment 2.0, schedule and mini-profiles for voice chats, and new web versions that are too low in space for both web and mobile.

Telegram has introduced two web versions Web K and Web Z that are only 400KB in size and provide many features to the web users. They both support a dark theme that you can personalize according to your preference. It also supports animated stickers. Telegram web versions are standalone which means once you are logged in, you don’t need to be closer to your pc or laptop and don’t even require an internet connection.

Talking about payments 2.0, merchants can now natively support payments via credit card relying on eight integrated third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Buyers can add a tip whenever they make a purchase to show some extra love to their favorite artists, stores, or delivery drivers. Payments can also be made from any app – including desktop apps. Telegram notes that the platform does not take a commission or store payment information. Credit card information is sent directly to the payment provider, and shipping information is shared with the merchant so they can send you your goods.

It will now let users add ‘mini profiles’ or bios to get a better idea of who you’re chatting with – without leaving the voice chat window. Users can change the profile picture and edit the bio without leaving the chat.

Additionally, photos and videos can now be expanded directly from the chat – simply pinch to zoom in right away, without tapping to open the media viewer. As always, the Android app is getting new animations. The video player is also getting improved to fast-forward or rewind video with long-press.

We all know how boring android emojis are in comparison with iOS. This new update will let android users have better emojis. Although previous versions do support animated emojis. But this coming update will make your chat experience even better.

iOS users can download this new update via Apple AppStore while Android users have to wait a bit for its arrival. According to Telegram, there’s been a delay in the Android update because of some issues on Google’s end. However, if you are excited to acquire this update, you can download this from Telegram’s official website.
