Earlier this year, he established From the Desk of Donald J Trump, often known as a blog. After generating only a fraction of the audience he would have expected from established sites, the website was permanently shut down less than a month after it launched.
Throughout Mr. Trump’s presidency, social media companies were under pressure to remove him, with his posts being criticized as disrespectful, offensive, or spreading lies and misinformation.
Last year, Twitter and Facebook began removing or labelling some of his tweets as deceptive, such as one in which he claimed Covid was “less deadly” than the flu and still, the whole world is suffering from post pandemic issues.
They decided to ban or suspend Mr Trump following the January riots, which occurred in response to a speech in which he made false accusations of electoral fraud.
Responding to the rioting, Mr Trump dubbed protesters at the Capitol “patriots” and showed no evidence of recognizing the election outcome, causing Twitter and Facebook to determine that it was too uncertain for him to continue to use their platforms.
Since then, he and his advisors have suggested that they want to launch a competing social media giants like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter where he can express his frustration with freedom.
